January has witnessed the end of the darts season with Bunting beating Norris 7-4 in the BDO, then going onto play in the PDC.
The 28 year-old won his first BDO (British Darts Organisation) world champion title last month, an achievement he strived for since he was a teenager.
Bunting decided to switch to the rival PDC (Professional Darts Corporation) by accepting his tour card, a difficult decision, which was offered to each of the BDO semi-finalists.
The former BDO champion Christian Kist was the only other player to also accept the switch to the PDC. The 7 million pound circuit saw him get defeated by Michael van Gerwen in his PDC debut, however Bunting then went on to win 6-5 in his final against Andrew Gilding, achieving an impressive 161 checkout, winning his first PDC Pro Tour title.
